Nine Girls follows a 12-year-old Titch, who moves from the city to her ancestral home in Ngāruawāhia. She feels lost and out of place until she meets a mysterious talking eel named Paneiraira. Guided by ancient forces of the awa and the sacred Maunga Taupiri, Titch embarks on a magical journey of self-discovery and reconnection with her whakapapa.
