Caravan Carpark Film and Stella Maris Productions’ short film FLAGFALL had its world premiere at Show Me Shorts 2025 in October.
FLAGFALL is a horror film that follows a troubled cabbie, haunted by voices and visions, fearing something terrible has happened in his taxi. The cast is led by award-winning actor Dahnu Graham, whose performance is mesmerizing with support from legendary actor Mark Mitchinson and rising talents Phoebe McKellar and Anthony Jacobsen.
During the course of the festival, FLAGFALL received two jury awards. The first going to Dahnu Graham for Toi Whakaari Best Actor. The second going to Joe Lonie - the film’s writer, director and editor - for DEGANZ Best Editor.
Show Me Shorts is Aotearoa New Zealand’s "Academy Awards®" accredited short film festival, presenting local and international shorts nationwide and online each October.
With the world premiere complete, FLAGFALL now moves into wider festival circulation. Further screenings and release details will be shared on our channels as they are confirmed.
